The Virtual Center for Mass Spectrometry Hamburg/Schleswig – Holstein (CMS-HH/SH) provides scientific working groups with an effective structure for answering scientific questions using mass spectrometry techniques. The CMS covers a wide range of mass spectrometric methods and advises users in choosing the analysis strategy for their problem.
Joint teaching and further training events ensure regular knowledge transfer and promote the high level of quality within the center.
Coordination
The variety of mass spectrometric devices and methods makes a good experimental strategy essential for successful analysis. Our coordinator Dr. Maria Riedner advises scientists from all disciplines on questions of mass spectrometric analysis and arranges contact with the working groups of the center.
Teaching and training
The CMS promotes training and further education within and between the working groups involved. From the basic lecture for bachelor students, specialist seminars for doctoral students, to the symposium, the members offer teaching and further education events for the various specialization levels.
